1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to appalore.com and the public preview pages for EigenMap AI, NumiDroid, Nexametry, and LanternRealm. A future Appalore product or service may provide a separate privacy notice if its data practices differ.
Appalore Labs (“Appalore,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for the information practices described here.
2. Information we handle
Information you choose to provide
If you contact us by email, we receive the information contained in your message, such as your name, email address, organization, areas of interest, and any other details or attachments you choose to send.
Email is not an appropriate place to send medical records, account credentials, government identifiers, detailed financial records, or other highly sensitive data. We can discuss suitable safeguards first if a potential project requires sensitive information.
Information associated with a site visit
Our hosting and security providers may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, and security or error events.
Theme preference
The site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage under appalore-theme. The site uses this value only to restore your visual preference. Our site code does not transmit that preference to Appalore.
Cookies and analytics
The current public site does not include third-party advertising trackers or analytics services, and our site code does not set advertising or analytics cookies. If these practices change, we will update this policy and provide any notice or choice required by law.
3. How we use information
We may use information to:
- respond to inquiries and communicate with you;
- understand interest in Appalore and evaluate potential product or data work;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site;
- protect Appalore, our visitors, and others from misuse or security threats; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
5. Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legitimate business, security, dispute-resolution, and legal needs. Retention periods depend on the nature and context of the information.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and privacy rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you have provided, or to stop nonessential communications. Depending on where you live, local law may provide additional rights. We may need to confirm your request and may retain information where permitted or required by law.
The site does not currently engage in cross-site behavioral advertising. Because we do not use that form of tracking, browser “Do Not Track” signals do not change the site’s present behavior.
7. Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
8. International visitors
If you visit from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where Appalore or its service providers operate. Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
9. Third-party links
The site may link to websites operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. Review those policies before providing information to a third party.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Appalore and its products evolve. We will post the revised policy here and change the effective date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
